Press Release
Denver, Colorado, US - March 6th, 2024 - Sentur, the evidence-based digital trauma care platform, proudly announces its remarkable achievement in securing recognition in 3 coveted categories at the Companies That Value Trust Awards as part of 2024 The Impact of Trust Report by Vessy.com. The accolades come in the categories of Psychological Containment & Safety, Hope, and Self-Trust, highlighting Sentur's commitment to fostering trust within its organization as well as in its product development. Sentur becomes most awarded with wins in 3 out of the 15 categories, each dedicated to a critical aspect of the Trust puzzle.
Trust at the organizational level to aid client-centric product development
Sentur’s awards come after its contribution to 2024 The Impact of Trust Report which looks at actionable insights, rituals and routines on how top tech leaders build and repair trust internally with employees, as well as externally with clients, partners, and investors. In the report, Sentur’s co-founder and co-CEO Sarah Houy shared key practices for promoting trust within the team to empower it to build engaging client-centered digital mental health solutions that deliver real outcomes in trauma healing.
“We operate in such a dynamic space which makes it really easy to get caught up in everything and lose sight of our vision to generate vast social change by revolutionizing mental health care. So it is important for us as leaders to intentionally pause and incorporate various practices that allow everyone in the organization to build trust in themselves and others. Building a thriving culture requires a top-down commitment to embodying what you want to see at an organizational level in your day-to-day behavior. It is the only way we know how to build the truly Self-led organization we need to be in order to move towards our vision. This is why we are beyond honored to be recognized for not just one but three of the core pillars in the Trust puzzle.”
- Sarah Houy, cof-founder & co-CEO of Sentur
One of the key practices mentioned by Sarah Houy in the report is the well-known in the Internal Family Systems community practice - U-turn. It relies on the belief that in an activating situation, taking the time to first do self-reflection and ask any activated parts to unblend we access more of our Self-energy, our core essence. This gives the ability to respond from a more curious, calm, and centered space, or what can be described as being in a place of self-leadership, a concept -The u-turn practice promotes Self-awareness in recognizing a triggering moment as you experience it, and Self-trust in compassionately approaching the part of you that is triggered and allowing it to open up space for your core Self. In essence, the practice allows team members to pause, reflect, and respond from a place of compassion, curiosity, and confidence in themselves and others; create a safer environment for one another; and approach collaboration bravely.
Companies That Value Trust Awards
The inaugural edition of the Companies That Value Trust Awards comes after the release of 2024 The Impact of Trust Report by Vessy.com, a global strategic organizational consultancy in Trust, Culture, and DEIB.
Sentur’s win in three separate categories makes it the most awarded in this edition of the awards. Vessy Tasheva, founder & CEO of Vessy.com commented on one of the key aspects in which Sentur stood out during the evaluation process.
“Psychological containment is foreign to a lot of organizations. Most struggled to address it or even skipped it in their report contribution. We recognize the need to support them in this area and wanted to position Sentur’s example of how it can be successfully implemented at the organizational level. And Sentur’s culture of self-leadership and psychological containment is unique in the sense that containment isn’t simply intellectualized, it is internalized by its founders and very intentionally practiced and instilled in the whole organization.”
The team behind the awards also ensured winners received their recognition as a surprise after already having contributed to the report itself.
“We did not want to lure the contributing organizations with awards and distract them. We encouraged each of them to tell us about their own unique journey. We had multiple calls and lots of back and forth to help them identify what’s special about their journey; not to make it look perfect, but to show it as it is. That’s key for Trust. And because we wanted that unfiltered, raw, authentic story, this resulted in a round of self-selection - from 150+ invited organizations down to 10+1.”
